Articles

Be Informed!

Wedding Tourist writers source the best and most qualified information to pass on to its members. Delegate roles to your team members and distribute the information arriving regularly to your desk top, to give your company the resources it needs.

Collaboration

Reach Out!

One simple phone call to the Voice Line or your written message on the Members Forum will be added to the collective voice on all the issues we discuss. Take part in Surveys and opt to send pre-prepared Letters to MPs as you wish.

Lobbying

Be Heard!

Wedding Tourist Alliance will lobby on your behalf on the subjects you care about. We liaise with the major industry pressure groups and trade associations, so you don’t have to bear that expense or filter the wide range of information they provide. Currently, we are compiling evidence for these two key issues, and discussing many more.

• The proposed new laws affecting who can legally perform marriages and where they can be performed have only been consulted by government with celebrants. Wedding venues need to have their say on this proposal before it is too late.

• Business Rates – our Articles and News items track this debate as it is currently occurring in Parliament.

Engage! We advocate your position as stakeholders in your communities and the visitor economy with your DMOs, Local Councils and MPs.

Award Scheme

Be Recognised!

Our Awards Scheme recognises the places and individuals who make excellent contributions to Event Tourism in the Wedding Industry. Joining the Wedding Tourist Alliance helps internationalise the UK Wedding Industry by firmly establishing wedding venues as committed providers of guest services and cultural experiences, and as cultural experts. All members commitment to inclusivity, diversity and community leadership is rewarded with our Wedding Tourist Approved indoor/outdoor wall plaque for display at their premises, and a hyperlinked website logo for use by their guests. Members development with international services, best practice strategies and industry inspiration, participation and leadership is recognised and rewarded through our Awards and Ambassadors scheme. These rewards enhance industry presence and develop career progression in this dynamic sector.

Campaigns

Be Seen!

We fund the campaigns you need to improve your operating environment, and we will collaborate with you as we make progress. Our current campaign proposals include:
  • Expanding the category of VisitBritain’s Best Wedding Venue to the whole of the UK
  • Developing the Walking and Cycling resource on the B2C Wedding Tourist website
  • Having wedding venues represented in Government Sample Surveys
  • Getting a marriage landing page on Local Council websites (subject to the new law)
  • Promoting UK weddings internationally

  • This service will embed wedding venues in the visitor economy
  • The data collected will be used to help describe your impact on Tourism
  • You can associate with those who help preserve buildings, amenities and land
